I live in a city in Jos North, Nigeria. The place is full of life, with streets that are always busy and people who love their traditions. Christmas is my favorite time. It brings colors, laughter, and the warmth of family and friends. This year, I want to do something special to bring everyone together and make the season more joyful. A storm came out of nowhere and changed everything. It tore through the city, leaving broken houses and sad faces behind. The streets became quiet, and people were unsure about the future. It hurt to see my neighbors struggling, but I decided we couldn't let this stop us. We had to do something. I talked to my family and friends about an idea to help our city. Together, we planned the "Rebuild Lamingo" event. It was more than just fixing houses-it was about bringing people together. At the event, there was music, laughter, and stories. Each story gave hope. Slowly, we started feeling like a community again, helping each other and finding joy in small things. As time went on, I felt braver and wanted to do more. I shared a new idea-a "Festival of Lights." The festival would celebrate how far we had come and show off the beauty of our culture. Everyone loved the idea, and we worked hard to make it happen. When the day of the festival came, the city looked magical. There were lights everywhere, music in the air, and people smiling. It was a reminder that no matter how hard life gets, we can always find hope and happiness when we stay together.
