The Antímano parish of the Libertador Municipality of the Capital District, located southwest of Caracas, presents a great predominance of popular urban settlements in its mountainous areas and in the vicinity of the Guaire River, which makes it a priority in the process of awarding land ownership to the untitled peasants who have been living in the neighborhoods for several decades. From there arises the need to carry out a rigorous documentary and cartographic study of the real estate property, since there is a lack of basic information and even more, there are no systematic historical and geographic studies, which is partly due to the lack of a legal cadastre, which is the responsibility of the Cadastre Directorate of the Municipality Libertador of the Capital District, as stated in the Law of Geography, Cartography and National Cadastre dated July 28, 2000 (Official Gazette No. 37.002), the Technical Norms for the Formation and Conservation of the National Cadastre dated June10, 2002 (Official Gazette No. 5,590 Extraordinary) and the Municipal Cadastre Ordinance dated August 30, 2012, (Municipal Gazette Extra No. 3,570-11).
