The intend of this study was to demonstrate and compare two popular GIS-based land use suitability tools that assisted urban planners and policy makers in implementing a large scale project in Coyote Valley area in San Jose, California.

Ms Ozdemir is a GIS Analyst with 14 years of experience in government agencies and environmental consulting firms. Prior to her work as an Analyst, she worked as a Geologist in mining industry for two years. She earned her BSc in Geological Engineering from Hacettepe University in 1992, her MA in Geography from San Jose State University in 1992.
