Carmen Fought is Professor of Linguistics at Pitzer College. She is the author of Chicano English in Context (2003) and Language and Ethnicity (2006). Her research on language and gender in children's films has been discussed in several major news outlets such as the Washington Post and a special issue of National Geographic.
