Siladang language is categorized as a minority language in the North Sumatra Province.This language is found only in two villages in Mandailing Natal, they are Sipapaga Village and Aek Banir Village. It is used approximately by 2. 138 ethnics. The condition of this language is currently under the threat of extinction as a result of competition from its neighboring languages, Mandailing language. The intensity of the use of this language by its speakers is declining and the realm is shrinking in line with the increasing intensity of the use of Mandailaing language, the language of its neighbors. As a result, this Siladang language functions as an internal communication tool ethnic Siladang in various domains of communication has shifted because of its speaker switches to Mandailing language in the realm of rural area of Siladang. The material presented in this book is a part and sourced from my dissertation research entitled "Language Revitalization Lubu and Siladang".
