The book explored conceptual explications of language, literature, culture and their impacts on contemporary issues in Nigerian socio-cultural milieu. The specific aim was to discuss the symbiotic relationship within language, culture and literature with a focus on corruption. The paper identified corruption as a major contemporary issue in Nigeria and argued that corruption was perpetuated by ethno-linguistic solidarity, the adoption of English language and its culture. The paper posited that linguistic and cultural diversity, the implantation of English and its culture have overwhelming influence on corruption in Nigeria. Therefore, this paper critically examined corrupt practices in Nigeria that are based on language and ethnicity. The paper recommended a moderation in our linguistic and ethnic affiliation and ethical re-orientation, among others, to ameliorate our corruption tendencies. The work concluded that, the Nigerian national language questions must be addressed with all sincerity, the Nigerian cultural norms and values should be restored to enhance positive changes in socio-cultural lives of Nigerians.
