The monograph substantiates the reasons for a codification deficiency within the present model of German language policy and offers an exo-endoglossic (centric) model regarding the ecological specific of the historical development of German and the aspects of the modern language policy: language planning and language consideration. The notion of centrism in language policy, that implies a balance between exoglossic and endoglossic evolutional tendencies of German, stands in the focus of attention.
