The Language Trainer contains three unabridged short stories by Saki (Hector Hugh Munro, 1870-1916), which are used as the basis for constructing tests aimed at learners of English as a foreign language. The tests are designed on the grounds of specifically developed criteria in the author's doctoral thesis in line with Bloom's taxonomy. The tests are intended to boost the language knowledge and skills of learners of English at level B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference. There are definitions of the more challenging words added to the texts and a key to the test questions, which makes the tests suitable both for work in the classroom with a teacher and for self-practice.
