The current study investigates the language use in two Volkswagen Group subsidiary companies Volkswagen Automatic Transmission (Tianjin) Co. Ltd. and Audi China in the Region China, focusing on language choices between 2 corporate languages English and German, in workplace communication.An overall preference to use English of employees in both companies was found. Furthermore, employees' previous international experience and specific communicational conditions were proved to be significant factors during their decision-making. Besides, the corporate language application in the two companies showed some differences, and the work explained the possible accounts.
