The Faculty of Arts, University of Maiduguri, Nigeria in conjunction with the Department of Languages and Linguistics hereby honored Late Professor Mustapha Abba via a Festschrift, organized by his former colleagues and students to mark his contribution to academic excellence during his life time. The theme of the Festschrift is: Languages & Linguistics, Literature, Culture & Pedagogy. The Festschrift has been sub-divided into five different sections for ease of reference namely: Languages & Linguistics, Literature, Arts & Theatre Studies, History, Culture and Social Issues, Religious Studies and Pedagogy. It is important to point out that all contributions were subjected to a peer-review. We wish to state categorically that this Festschrift aims at filling the existing gaps in the fields of Languages & Linguistics, Literature, Culture & Pedagogy to mention but a few. Finally, we hope that this Festschrift will significantly encourage younger Linguists, Historians, Religious Scholars as well as Theatre artists to develop interest in the areas of research, data analysis and publication.
