Jeanne Mackin es una autora Americana y miembro de la Sociedad Americana de anticuarios. Entre sus novelas publicadas se encuentran: A Lady of Good Family, The Beautiful American, The Sweet By and By, Dreams of Empire, The Queen's War y The Frenchwoman. También ha publicado una trilogía de misterio con laBiblioteca del Nuevo Americano y, escribiendo como Anna Maclean. Los misterios fueron traducidos y publicados en japonés.
