Carmen Mola es el seudónimo con el que tres autores --Antonio Mercero, Agustín Martínez y Jorge Díaz-- decidieron firmar su primera novela escrita a seis manos, sin darse a conocer públicamente, La novia gitana (Alfaguara Negra, 2018), que inauguró la serie protagonizada por la inspectora Elena Blanco, convertida en un fenómeno de ventas y de crítica y por la que Carmen Mola fue llamada «la Elena Ferrante española» (El País). Traducida en más de dieciocho países y adaptada a la televisión, la serie se completó con otras dos entregas igualmente aclamadas, La Red Púrpura (2019) y La Nena (2020).
