Crude methanolic extract with other partitionates were subjected to bioactivity guided investigations such as anti-nociceptive (central and peripheral), anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, antihelmintic, antidepressant, cytotoxicity, antioxidant, antimicrobial, antidiarrhoeal and thrombolytic activity. Analysis reveals Lasia spinosa can be used in different purpose.

Mr. Durajan Goshwami hailing from Prasauni, Bara,Nepal,obtained his M.Pharm from Dept.of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology,Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka,Bangladesh.
