Subspecies bohemani occurs in northern Eurasia, Alaska and Yukon.It is found in boreal forest, especially bogs, and is both diurnal and nocturnal.Early instar larvae prefer to feed on the epidermis of leaves of Vaccinium vitis-idaea, but is polyphagous when reared.
