Late Night Library is a whimsical story of the books in a library "coming alive" late at night and having their own night-time party. When the commotion gets too loud, the books attract a policeman on the beat. When he finds the celebration, he summons the librarian to come have a look. Upon her arrival, she is shocked, and then quiets her book friends and gets the library back in order for the kids who will be visiting the next day.

Autorenporträt
Well, nearly 35 years ago I wrote a poem that I would read to my young daughter at bedtime. Bedtime stories were such an important and fun time for spending time with my daughter, whom is our only child. After reading some of the books over and over again, my daughter suggested that I write my own book. That is where I came up with the idea that we should write a book about books! Thus the poem Late Night Library was born. It quickly became the bedtime favorite. Late Night Library is a whimsical story of the books in a library "coming alive" late at night and having their own night-time party. Twenty-0ne Pages, beautifully illustrated! Late Night Library has been living in a notebook for the past 35 years. Now, as a sixty-one year old, not only dad, but Papa to four wonderful grandchildren, it was dusted off and read to the grandkids. It was an instant hit with the grandkids.
