Dr.Shyma did BVSc.& AH from KAU,Thrissur, MVSc from CCSHAU,Hisar and PhD from IVRI,Izatnagar. She has received the esteemed Dr.J.P.Dubey Young Scientist award for research in acaricide resistance and prestigious Dr.V.S.Alwar Memorial award for publication on trypanosomosis. Presently she is teaching faculty in SDAU, Sardarkrushinagar,Gujarat(India)
