Autorenporträt
Martin Korenjak studied Greek, Latin, and linguistics at the University of Innsbruck. He wrote his PhD thesis on Lucan's Bellum Civile in Heidelberg. He worked at the University of Innsbruck from 1996 to 2003, becoming assistant professor after his 'Habilitation' with a book on the role of the audience in the eloquence of the Second Sophistic. He became full professor at Bern in 2003. In 2009, he returned to Innsbruck. He won an ERC Advanced Grant in 2017, the Tiroler Landespreis für Wissenschaft in 2018, and became a corresponding member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in 2019.
