It was a colorful on the 7th March 2019 in the history of Sierra Leone, as the country became the third country in West Africa and the ninth country in Africa to launch the needle and syringe exchange program for injecting drugs users by a local non-governmental organization Social Linkages for Youth Development and Child Link (SLYDCL) in collaboration with the National Aids Secretariat with support and sponsor of the Global Fund, including the beneficiaries at the No 5 Decker Lane, Babadorie, Freetown.
