Autorenporträt
Fille de Théophile Gautier, Judith Gautier (Paris, 1845 - Saint-Enogat,1917) fréquenta très tôt les cercles littéraires parisiens, au sein desquels elle fit forte impression. Auteur prolifique, passionnée par l'Orient, elle fut la première femme à entrer à l'Académie Goncourt, elle fut faite chevalier de la Légion d'honneur... sa renommée fut telle qu'un cratère de Vénus porte son nom !
