Lawrence R. Sullivan is professor of political science at Adelphi University in Garden City, New York and a research associate at the Weatherhead East Asian Institute, Columbia University. He is the author most recently of Historical Dictionary of the Chinese Communist Party (Scarecrow Press, 2011) and Historical Dictionary of the People's Republic of China (Scarecrow Press, 2007) and a co-translator and co-editor of Zhou Enlai: The Last Perfect Revolutionary by Gao Wenjian (Public Affairs, 2007).
