Therefore, in order to survive and prosper, organizations should develop the ability to continuously change themselves and carry out an appropriate and successful change to align with their environment; if not they will either be left behind or be swept away by the forces of change. Implementing successful change has been a challenge for most organizations and the success rate of the attempted change programs could not soar beyond 30%. The purpose of this research is to explore and elucidate the significance of leadership on the success of organizational change endeavors and to contribute to the body of management knowledge additional viable knowledge that could fill and alleviate the gap perceived in organizational changes and ultimately to increase the success rate of change endeavors.
