MaryAnn Christison is a professor in the Department of Linguistics and the Department of Teaching and Learning at the University of Utah. She teaches courses in the MA and PhD graduate programs and coordinates the ESL endorsement program. Christison was TESOL President 1997-98 and serves on the Board of Trustees of The International Research Foundation (TIRF) for English Language Education. Denise E. Murray is Emeritus Professor at Macquarie University, Australia and San Jose State University, United States. She was department Chair for 9 years, director of a national centre for 6 years, and TESOL President. Her research interests and teaching include leadership and management in ELT.
