Leadership is considered as a process where one or more persons influence a group of persons to move in certain direction. This can have and often has a strong impact on the social climate in the group, through the way the leadership is executed, i.e. through what is termed as leadership style (Ekvall and Ryhammer, 1998). There is no one best style of leadership; that is to say, what is effective for one organisation may not be effective for another (Boseman, 2008). The purpose of this study was to highlight the major leadership approaches, models and theories, as well as theories in Organisation climate and to establish the relationship between them.
