Gabriele Arcidiacono is professor in "Machine Design" and "Reliability, Quality and Safety" at Marconi University of Rome for the degree course in Industrial Engineering. He was Ph.D. (1997) and Visiting Professor (2000) in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He has written 7 books and more than 80 papers; he is Scientific Reviewer for some international journals and member of many Scientific Advisory Boards. Since 1995 he has helped to train and deploy Design for Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, Axiomatic Design, Robust Design in Europe, USA, Middle East and South America companies. Claudio Calabrese is Process & Quality Manager in a multinational company, he is professor assistant in Quality Management Course in University for Economics and Quality Management (MIQ - University of Florence). He has been coacher and trainer in Lean Six Sigma methodology for many international companies. His expertise is strongly oriented to Process Excellence and Business Process Management (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Lean Office, Lean Six Sigma, Strategy Deployment, TPM, Statistical Process Control). Kai Yang is professor at the Department of Industrial and System Engineering, Wayne State University in Detroit. His research areas include Six Sigma, statistical methods in quality and reliability engineering, lean healthcare, and engineering design methodologies. He is a world expert in the area of Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma and quality for service and an author of five books in the areas of Design for Six Sigma, Six Sigma and, multivariate statistical methods. He is also a well known trainer in the area of Six Sigma, lean, he conducted numerous training for many companies, such as Apple Inc and Siemens.
