In this research, a systematic literature review was conducted to identify the actual possibilities of combining lean and green practices and implementing them. But, lean, green practices are still a relatively new approach, which lacks a clear and structured research definition, and significant evidence of successful cases in the practice. Researchers have suggested that the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies can strongly influence the economic pillar of sustainability. An integrated framework that combines lean practices, green practices, and Industry 4.0 which was inspired from the literature and modified the framework as per the requirements of agriculture and is believed to achieve favorable results upon its implementation. The theoretical contribution of this research work lies in the development of a novel integration framework that combines the concepts of lean practices and green practices with Industry 4.0 technologies. In the future, the research work can provide a concrete foundation in discussing the Green agriculture facet with Industry 4.0 for optimized social, economic, and environmental performance.
