In this book a method for learning driving patterns and their use in supporting driving navigation tasks is described. Driving patterns are sequences of events in the traffic system repeating over time. A framework of the driving warning system based on the learned driving patterns is developed. Dejan Mitrovic holds a BE(Elec) and MSc from the University of Nis, Yugoslavia and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He has authored more than 30 research papers published in international journals and conferences. Currently, he works at Trimble Navigation, where he develops GPS/GIS software solutions.
