The new technologies in the direction of the teaching-learning process constitute one of the challenges of the contemporary Cuban educational system, its use requires the systemic self-preparation of the pedagogical personnel. The use of the computer as a teaching medium is of vital importance in the curricular work of Cuban History and within it, the differentiated treatment of local history. In order to carry out the research, it was necessary to use several bibliographic sources; it was verified during the study that the literature that deals with this subject is wide and updated; taking into account the objective and purpose of the elementary school, we applied the methods of scientific research: theoretical, empirical and statistical methods, which allowed us to verify and corroborate the scientific problem referred to the limited use of the computer as an effective means for the curricular treatment of Cuban History.
