The preservation of animal health is a fundamental element in the production of food to meet the ever-increasing demand of the population. This requires technically well-trained workers capable of maintaining epidemiological surveillance and care, as well as the best production and farming traditions, in order to operate livestock systems in a sustainable manner. The curricular changes resulting from the transformations in Professional Technical Education have limited the integral training of these workers, specifically those in the zootechnical-veterinary speciality, related to the subject of Animal Health, as its contents appear disintegrated and outdated, as they have not been renewed in correspondence with these new changes. This work provides teaching material with updated content, organised by groups of diseases affecting domestic animals, which serves as a tool for diagnosing and treating the animal mass.
