The research designed a pedagogical innovation proposal, through the implementation of the STEAM method, for the development of creative thinking in an eight-year-old child from a private educational institution. First, the characteristics of the creative thinking of the participating child were identified through the analysis of the results derived from the application of the Torrance test (figurative expression). Next, pedagogical activities based on STEAM education were implemented, and finally, the effectiveness of STEAM education in the development of creative thinking in the case study was evidenced. This research was developed under the qualitative paradigm and with the methodological design of a case study. Finally, some results and conclusions were the following: the proposal based on STEAM education really allowed the development of the student's creative thinking, given that an advance in its characteristics was evidenced, and that planning experiences based on STEAM education enables an interdisciplinary work among the areas to be worked on, and transversal in the dimensions of development.
