Comparison among lecturers has shown a number of challenges among lecturers in public universities, notable among which are industrial actions, delay in marking of examination scripts and submission of grades among others. Several studies have been carried out to explain the issue without a remarkable improvement. Job satisfaction among employees is a precondition for dedication to duty and goal attainment. The study investigates the degree to which salary factor, promotion opportunity and sense of belonging relate with job satisfaction among lecturers in public universities in Ogun state. Simple random sampling technique was used to gather data from 270 lecturers in three selected universities in Ogun state. The three predictors accounted for 16% of the variance in lecturers job satisfaction. It was concluded that the three predictors relate both individually and collectively to job satisfaction among lecturers in such a way that when these factors are given proper attention by policy makers and university management, job satisfaction among lecturers will upswing. This analysis should be useful to policy makers, university management and prospective researchers of similar studies.
