Early Life and Background Leeroy Thornhill, born on October 8, 1968, in Barking, England, grew up in Rayne near Braintree, Essex. Career with The Prodigy Thornhill joined the iconic electronic group The Prodigy in the early 1990s, alongside Keith Flint and Maxim Reality, after meeting the band's founder, Liam Howlett, at The Barn, a local rave club. Known for his energetic "shuffling" dance moves, Thornhill became a defining presence at The Prodigy's live performances. While he occasionally contributed to live keyboards, he did not participate in the composition of the band's studio albums. His towering height of 6 feet 7 inches set him apart from his shorter bandmate, Keith Flint, who stood at 5 feet 7 inches. Post-Prodigy Ventures In 2000, Thornhill parted ways with The Prodigy and launched a solo career under the aliases "Longman" and "Flightcrank," producing several EPs. In addition to his solo work, he ventured into DJing and remixed tracks for various artists, including Italian band Subsonica's "Nuvole Rapide." Thornhill also collaborated with the band Hyper, performing live with them, and made an appearance at the V Festival in Chelmsford in 2007. In 2008, Thornhill expanded his creative pursuits by founding the record label Electric Tastebuds, which specializes in nu skool breaks. The label signed breakbeat group The Wrongstar Society, demonstrating his commitment to fostering emerging talent in the electronic music scene. That same year, he released a music video for "Everything U Need" with his Smash Hi-Fi project, directed by Philip Carrer and Bleeding Apple.
