The monograph examines theoretical and practical problems related to the legal regulation of the labour of employees of diplomatic representations and consular offices of the Russian Federation abroad. Research in this area has long been practically impossible due to the lack of open access to the regulations governing the labour of these employees. However, it is difficult to overestimate the importance of the work of the staff of diplomatic missions at present. The implementation of a country's foreign policy depends on the professionalism of diplomatic staff. The results of the study confirm the continued role of labour law in ensuring the social and legal protection of diplomatic staff, the level of labour guarantees accorded to their professionalism, responsibility, the strain of their work and the restrictions imposed on them.
