Tony Cawsand is a local archaealogist whose interest in the large mound in the grounds leads to he and Florence having to work side by side. Cawsand has an adopted daughter, Joanne, a strange balkan refugee. Florence is fascinated.

Peter lives with his young family in North West London. Having always enjoyed writing as a pastime, it was after having children that he found his source of inspiration. Through watching them grow and explore the world around them, the protagonist Jee was born and adventures very close to home ensued.
