Autorenporträt
Jessica Hansen is a first-time author and illustrator based in Dallas, Texas. When she's not working as a nurse or creating art, Jessica enjoys sharing her adventures on social media, where she has built a following documenting her daily life. Growing up, Jessica was captivated by the playful and whimsical poems of Shel Silverstein, whose writing sparked her imagination and instilled a love of rhyming poetry that has stayed with her to this day. Jessica's first children's book, Leighton Learns Patience, was inspired by her niece Leighton, whom she wanted to inspire with a fun and engaging story that promotes an important life skill. As both the author and illustrator of the book, Jessica worked hard creating colorful and imaginative illustrations that bring the story to life. Her goal is to create books that help parents to encourage children to explore their imaginations, teach them important life skills and foster a love of reading.
