Free time is fundamental in the personal life of the individual since it plays a very important role in influencing the mood of the human being; enjoying and feeling fully during this chronological lapse allows the higher education student to continue motivated during the educational course. The objective of this publication is to analyze the state of mind in the free time of the students who start and finish the career of Sciences of Physical Activity, Sports and Recreation; after the determination of the problem, fifty people of both sexes were analyzed, in an average age of nineteen to twenty-eight years old respectively; Forty first level students and ten eighth level students, using two surveys on free time and mood based on the Profile of Mood States (POMS), the sample was applied in the classrooms of the University of the Armed Forces ESPE, obtaining in the first instance that 60% of eighth level students have a good free time, compared to first level students who enjoy only 50% of their free time.
