Ms. Knox was born February 3, 1943 in Cold Spring, New York. She grew up outside of Buffalo, NY, raising her three children in this area. She then lived in San Francisco for almost 23 years, working as a nurse and then nurse practitioner for the VA Medical Center. Remarriage in 2012 brought her back to the Buffalo area. She and her husband have a combined 6 adult children, 12 grandchildren, and several grand pets. Mostly retired, Ms. Knox loves to travel, bake, knit and crochet, belongs to a book club, and participates in activities related to her church and the America Legion Auxiliary. She continues to write poetry and has ideas for more children's books. This is Ms. Knox third book. She has had two books published previously, Pickles and Jane, about a dog who upsets the household of two cats, and Harrison and Grandpa Build a Sandbox, a project a little boy and his grandfather take on when Grandpa visits.
