Autorenporträt
Ellie is a student at the Carderock Springs Elementary School in Potomac, Maryland, USA. She is also a member of the Mensa Society. She loves creating and illustrating her imaginative stories. Ellie's first professional book, "The Leaf Gurl", received rave critical reviews; one of the top children book publishers review stated "THE LEAF GURL IS VERY SWEET AND MIGHTILY IMPRESSIVE FOR A 6 YEAR-OLD". Ellie narrated and directed the adaptation of "The Leaf Gurl" as a short animation film. The animation adaptation was competitively selected by multiple juries in top international film festivals. One of the festival juries released a statement that Ellie's work is an "inspiration to younger and older film makers alike". The movie was awarded the "Best Short Animation" by the Phare International Film Festival, making her one of the world's youngest story writers and filmmakers in the world. "I am Coming Home" is a story of a young girl who is designing activities for the afternoon so that she can pass them and then party with her mom. Ellie hand-wrote the story that was illustrated as-in by a professional artist.
