This study aims to reconstruct the development of textile fibre terminology in French from the 18th century to the present day. The approach adopted allows to trace the linguistic and conceptual development in this field, as well as to obtain interesting information on societal and cultural evolution.

Klara Dankova est docteure en Sciences linguistiques et littératures étrangères à l'Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore de Milan. Ses intérêts de recherche concernent principalement la terminologie et la lexicographie dans une perspective synchronique aussi bien que diachronique. Dans ses recherches, elle s'intéresse notamment à la terminologie du domaine textile.
