About the Author Larry Host served in the United States Navy as a Fleet Marine Force Hospital Corpsman. After a M.S. degree in Forest and Rangeland Wildlife Habitat Management from Washington State University in Pullman, he worked as a wildlife biologist with the BLM and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He enjoys reading about ancient history and bird and butterfly watching. Host lives in Sacramento, California, with his wife of twenty-seven years and Midnight the cat. He is interested in learning about how people can live together in greater harmony.
