Dear All, Due to Bibi Netanyahu's bad governance, Israel-Palestine is currently like a lost puppy - which needs protection by the NGO Community. President Isaac Herzog has failed to mediate discussions between relevant political figures over Netanyahu's illegal judicial overhaul. Herzog described his two critical roles as "averting a historic constitutional crisis and stopping the continued rift within our nation." Furthermore, the Supreme Court President of Israel, Chief Justice Esther Hayut denounced Netanyahu's illegal plan to undermine Israel's judicial and legal system, saying it would deal a fatal blow to the country's democratic identity. It should also be noted, that the status quo is not working in Israel-Palestine - with thousands of innocent People having been killed since the founding of Israel. The only solution is a Bi-National state to manifest Peace. In view of increasing violence between Israels Defense Forces (IDF) and Hamas, de-escalation is essential now. In particular the killing of innocent Civilians and Children by violent extremists must stop in Israel-Palestine. To prevent a power vacuum in Israel-Palestine - and a potential civil war - the NGO BTB-Global Peacebuilding will be handling matters in Israel-Palestine in the meantime; such domestic policy, foreign policy and Human Rights issues in Israel, Palestine and Gaza - until a lasting Peace has been manifested in the land. This includes manifesting Equal Rights, Legal Equality and Public Safety for ALL in Israel-Palestine. We encourage the People in Israel-Palestine - in particular the Government of Israel, the Palestinian Authority and Hamas - to engage in Peace Talks; so that a Bi-National State, Equality and Democracy can be manifested in the land. The solution is quite simple: create a true democracy, i.e one person one vote. Reconciliation may take some time, but that's the only way for a lasting Peace in Israel-Palestine. Hence a Bi-National State - following the South African example to end apartheid - would be the best way to go, in our opinion. We invite all People in Israel-Palestine and the International Community - in particular the Arab/Muslim world and Israel/Jewish Community - to join our anti-apartheid political movement so that Legal Equality and Democracy can be manifested in a Bi-National State. Autorenporträt
In my recent publications I have put forward the option of a possible one-state solution in Israel/Palestine; a bi-national state to manifest peace and prosperity in the region. This would combine Israel and the Palestinian territories into a single state with one government. An argument for this solution is that neither side can justly claim a state on all of the land - or the better and richer parts of the land. However, I want to make it perfectly clear, that by proposing a bi-national state, I am not supporting the political annexation of Palestinian territory. However, in my opinion, it is necessary to implement an inclusion into the economic infrastructure for the Palestinian People; to ensure Peace and Prosperity in Israel-Palestine, so that business and commerce between all ethnic groups can take place freely and unhindered; the current barriers and Israeli checkpoints being a huge obstacle to this. Hence in the spirit of Freedom of Movement - for both Palestinian and Israeli people - a one-state solution would be the better option. However, a true Bi-National State between Israel and Palestine would also mean that Israel would have to undergo some political changes; such as that the name of the current state of Israel might well have to be changed -like, for example, from 'Israel' to 'Israel-Palestine'; nothing major, but still some minor things which the people of Palestine and Israel would have to agree upon. So all parties concerned in this process of Peacebuilding and mediation should be logical and reasonable; in this very emotional and complex process of finding a viable solution in Israel-Palestine. It is also important to emphasize, that Rule of Law and Judicial Independence must prevail in Israel-Palestine. Amid the current social and political upheaval in the country, it is very important that everybody keeps a cool head and remains calm and positive in this very challenging and critical time. In other words, I'm sure that the political establishment in Israel-Palestine will sort out these challenges eventually, so that Peace and Prosperity can finally be manifested in the Holy Land.
