Authens Asantewaa Oppong Wadie holds a doctorate in the field of education and masters degrees in the Education and Theology respectively. Her academic passion is recovering the intellectual heritage of African people. Authens is of Caribbean heritage and has also lived in Africa. She currently lives in Illinois with her husband and four children.
