Kayla holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance, which serves as the foundation for her work in education, finance and leadership. Beyond her work as an author, she co-leads the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) initiative at her workplace, connecting diverse talent with opportunities and mentoring students pursuing careers in the industry. As a business owner, she provides bookkeeping and tax planning to childcare centers and small business owners, helping them manage their finances and focus on growth. She also dedicates her time to mentoring high school students and tutoring in math, instilling confidence and academic success in the next generation. With a strong belief in the power of education, diversity, and entrepreneurship, Kayla continues to inspire others through her work and writing. When she's not mentoring, leading, or running her business, she's focused on creating resources that help students and businesses thrive.
