Autorenporträt
Sarah Pearson, a retired nurse, resides in Goldsboro, North Carolina. She was married to Johnnie Pearson for 22 years, until he went home to be with the Lord in April, 2011. As a young girl, she joined Antioch Baptist Church and gave her life to Jesus. After a period of "straying," she rededicated her life with an iron intent on service to the Kingdom of God and her church. At Antioch, she sang with the Mass Choir and was president of the Mother/Deaconess Board. Her benevolent ministries included starting an outreach to the private homes of the sick and shut-in, nursing homes and hospitals, whereby soup was delivered and prayer and Bible Study conducted. For ten years, she and Deacon Pearson led the noonday prayer. Sarah became a diligent student of the Bible, a Sunday School Teacher, and wrote for the local gospel newspaper, "The Good News Gazette." In 2004 she accepted the call to teach the gospel and was ordained a Minister. In 2005 she began to serve at the Philadelphia Community Church under the leadership of her children - Pastors Rodger and Aletta Taylor. At "PCC" she has continued to serve with joy! Her past and present commitments include the Praise Team, Singles Ministry, Sunday School Teacher, Head of Mother/Deaconess Ministry, and Head of Benevolence. Since uniting with PCC she has been elevated to the office of Elder and executes her position well. Elder Pearson has a genuine concern for others and reaches out to anyone in need. Psalm 27 is her favorite scripture for it has "brought her through many attacks of the enemy and helped her maintain a firm foundation in Christ." Her purpose in the kingdom is to be an example, a living sacrifice. Elder Pearson is an anointed Prayer Warrior. She has four children, 13 grand-children and seven great-grandchildren.
