Autorenporträt
I am a first-time author residing on the mid-north coast, NSW, Australia. My wife Sam and I have two beautiful dogs, Bella and Charlie. We live on a 500 sqm block in a city and have a passion for making every day a little more sustainable. We grow fruit, vegetables and flowers. We have solar panels, rainwater tanks, two compost bins, a worm farm and chickens for egg production. I would love for future generations to learn the skills to grow their own food, live more sustainably and see how much joy this type of living can bring you. I have noticed when very young children visit our garden, they instinctively know that cherry tomatoes, snow peas and the like are all food. They help themselves to snacking on these tasty treats straight off the plant, which is beautiful to see. As children get older, they seem to learn that food comes from supermarkets and forget that food is grown. I have written this book to help children keep this instinctive understanding of food and to know they can grow produce themselves.
