Autorenporträt
Shavonda G. McCaleb was born with a purpose, power, and passion for storytelling. Her writing empowers, encourages and transcends throughout communities. She considers herself "merely a pencil in God's hand, and He is doing the writing." Shavonda walks on purpose, talks on purpose, and breathes on purpose. Her spiritual journey impacts, infect and empowers. Shavonda is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Positively Impacting Communities (PIC) Foundation Inc. She is the proud mother of two children, Jonathan and Camry (her daughter Camry is deaf). Shavonda understood from personal experience with Camry's hearing loss that more needed to be done within the deaf and hard of hearing community. As a result, she founded the PIC Foundation to be that advocate and resource for the deaf and hard of hearing communities. Shavonda strives to positively impact the lives of those who she comes in contact with, through her inspirational messages, words of encouragement, speaking/teaching, writings and her personal life. Shavonda is the author of five books, and she is currently working on her sixth book. She also writes for BOLD Favor Magazine (Atlanta, GA). Shavonda served as one of the Board of Directors of Georgia Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (formerly GACHI). She is also part of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), and a Certified Professional Life Coach (American Association of Christian Counselors - AACC) Shavonda's dreams, aspirations, and goals are to "positively impact" the lives of people and the communities which she encounters, starting with one person at a time. Her passion for the deaf and hard of hearing community reaches beyond herself and is a beautiful reflection of a Life of Servanthood.
