Autor

Lena Ma is a self-published author who has struggled with her eating disorder for over ten years. She recounts her worst moments in her memoir, "Shamefully Vanished: A Memoir of a Girl Out of Control", of times when she drowned in shame and almost gave up on her life. Eating disorders are often misunderstood, often mistaken as shallow desires as opposed to cries for help. Only those who have been immersed in the strangling grips of it can truly cognize the nightmares of this disease.
