The objective of this research was to determine the level of agricultural mechanization in the Rosa Zarate parish of the Quinindé canton in the province of Esmeraldas, which was carried out during the dry and rainy season between October and November 2020 in the eight communities of the Rosa Zarate parish of the Quinindé canton.Quinindé canton.The methodology used was based mainly on field work, being its main tool the surveys and semi-structured interviews and existing technical information, socioeconomic aspects and mechanization needs in the study area.The results showed that the agricultural areas were mechanized with an average of (32.96%), where perennial crops predominate (88.64%) especially the African palm crop with an average of (45.45%), where the main mechanizable labor is the maintenance of the crop (52.27%). The mechanization index averages 0.0130 kw/ha; the lower level of the mechanization index is due to the low number of agricultural tractors in the study area.
