Logan Fletcher, Fortress Security operative, thought he had all the time in the world to win the heart of the woman of his dreams. Turns out he was dead wrong. After he learns Poppy is missing, Logan and his team race to rescue her and track down the men responsible. Although Logan vows to make the criminals pay, the situation isn't a clear cut as it appears. An explosive secret lies at the heart of Poppy's kidnapping, and the man responsible won't stop until he succeeds. Too bad for him he'll have to go through Logan first. Poppy Reynolds, ace reporter and true crime writer, thrives on a tough challenge. Lately, though, her entire life has been a challenge. Take, for instance, her trip downstairs for coffee in the middle of the night. She never expected to face kidnappers in her kitchen. After a harrowing escape from their clutches, the hunt begins to unearth the culprit behind the scheme before Poppy loses everything she holds dear, including the man she loves. The stakes are high, and time is short. If Poppy and Logan are lucky, they'll live to unmask the mastermind.
