This anthology is a collection of writings by Laurel Lampela about LGBT issues and art education that have appeared in various publications over the past two decades. Many positive changes have occurred for LGBT people including marriage equality, military acceptance and Gay-Straight Alliances in the public schools. But more needs to be done. Although, acceptance and support of LGBT people has been widespread in our country, bigotry and hatred continue. The chapters in this anthology can serve as a resource for art teachers who want to address issues of social justice in their classrooms and create a more inclusive curriculum.
