Autorenporträt
I am from Washington, D.C., but I grew up in Largo, MD. I come from a family that I considered the norm. I had my mom, my dad, and one sister - so I thought. At the age of almost 40, I discovered I had a few more siblings from my biological father, whom I never knew. Discovering a different side of you that is almost identical to your beliefs, habits, laughs, and quirks is interesting. Of course, not everyone loved with open arms, but I love them all the same. FAMILY IS FAMILY! I have a solid Christian faith that has carried me through a tremendous amount of anguish, uncertainty, shame, and sorrow. Even with an Associate's degree, a Bachelor's degree, and a Master's degree hanging on my wall, I never thought I was good enough, strong enough, or intelligent enough to excel in anything other than ordinary. My Lord and Savior put the extra he held in his hand for me with the ordinary I could see. He allowed me to increase my faith; now I see my God-given EXTRA-ORDINARY!
